Almost 100 years ago, Hans Haupt had an idea that continues to change everyday life to this day. He invented the first telescoping umbrella and named it his KNIRPS, German-slang for a little kid. What began as a revolutionary invention has become a long-standing brand that continues to stand for quality, innovation, and clever design to this day.
Our mission has remained the same ever since: maximum protection from the elements with a minimal pack size. That’s why we’re constantly refining our umbrellas, using state-of-the-art technology, durable materials, and designs that go anywhere.
